This Is Who We Are

Fresh Wind Counseling Center was established to give everyone a fresh start.

On July 18, 2022, we began to respond to the heart work of offering therapeutic services to individuals, couples and families and supporting our clients on their journey of total wellness.

FWCC offers hope to learn, recover and move forward fearlessly. Although you cannot
see or control your thoughts, you are aware that they exist. Even though you cannot touch the
wind, you are aware that its presence causes movement in the environment.

Our Purpose

  We understand that seclusion undermines the success of wholeness and can severely impede the healing and wellness process. Our purpose at Fresh Wind Counseling Center is to influence and help individuals understand that the journey to wholeness includes transparency and courage.

Our Mission

  At Fresh Wind Counseling Center, our mission is to provide dedicated, servitude-oriented, innovative, and holistic counseling services that transform lives for sustainable living. We offer services to the whole person, create psychologically safe spaces and help individuals live out their authenticity without isolation.

Our Vision

  Fresh Wind Counseling Center’s vision is to aid in the heart work of healing one conversation at a time. Our commitment to exceeding customer expectations, community relationships, and client growth are all things we will continue to take delight in. The Fresh Wind Counseling Center will continue to work to remove psychological, social, and sociological barriers to improve mental health for everyone.

Treatment Approach

We offer a person-centered approach that involves methodologies that are grounded in evidence-based and evidence-informed practices. 

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive-behavioral therapy stresses the role of thinking in how we feel and what we do. It is based on the belief that thoughts, rather than people or events, cause our negative feelings.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a method of therapy that works to engage the motivation of clients to change their behavior. Clients are encouraged to explore and confront their ambivalence.

Mindfulness-Based (MBCT)

For clients with chronic pain, hypertension, heart disease, cancer, and other health issues such as anxiety and depression, MBCT is a two-part therapy that aims to reduce stress, manage pain, and embrace the freedom to respond to situations by choice.

Solution Focused Brief  (SFBT)

Solution-focused therapy, sometimes called "brief therapy," focuses on what clients would like to achieve through therapy rather than on their troubles or mental health issues.
